Odisha District Court Syllabus

Every year applications are invited from the desirous candidates for recruitment for various posts for district court of Bhadrak district in Odisha. The candidates are selected for appointment on the basis of their position in the merit list as per decision of the appointing authority.

The syllabus is same as other district courts of Odisha, but sometimes some district courts changes their syllabus according to the recruitment positions, nature of work etc.

Scheme of Examination of Bhadrak District Court for the post of Jr.  Clerk and Jr. Typist

Part-I (3 hours with break of 15 minute after each subject)

  1. English: 40 Marks
  2. Arithmetic: 30 Marks
  3. General Knowledge: 30 Marks

Part-II (1 hour 25 minutes)

  1. Computer Practical: 50 Marks
  2. Typing Test: 50 Marks
  3. Viva Voce: 50 Marks
Note: Scheme of Examination, in terms of marks may change as per advertisement policy.

Bhadrak District Court Exam Syllabus for each Subject

1. English (40 marks)

A Letter or application to be written in English(10 marks)
One Odia passage to be translated into English (10 marks)
One English passage to be translated into Odia (10 marks)
Comprehensive of one English passage (10 marks)
Note: The standard required of candidate shall be equal to that of +2 certificate examination conducted by the council of Higher Secondary Education, Orissa.

2. Arithmetic

Vulgar fractions and decimals, H.C.F. ad L.C.M., Simple and compound interest, Percentage, Profit and loss, Mixtures, Partnership, Average, Rates and Taxes, Insurance, Square and Cubic Measures, Problems on time and work and Time and Distance
Note- Problems more easily solvable by algebraic methods need not be solved arithmetically.

3. Computer Test (Practical)

To test the proficiency of the candidate relating to matters like "Text formatting of the paragraph, insertion of table, skill to print and save, file transfer, we site searching/browsing and downloading e-mail, use of pen-drive and other software etc. and programmes of accounting"

4. General Knowledge

Knowledge of past and current events and such other matters of every day observation and experience as may be expected from an educated person

5. Type Test-Type test to be done on computer

Candidates shall be required to type out a passage of 400 words in English and 300 words in Odia.

6. Viva Voce

To test and assess suitability of candidates for the post with particular reference to the candidate's alertness, general outlook and potential qualities
